For Children

The Onawa Public Library strives to foster a love reading for both pleasure and information in our children. We have an annual Summer Story Time for Pre-K, a Summer Reading Program for children grades K - 5, and a Summer Teen Program. We also have a K-5th grade after school program and a teen (6-12th grade) after school program. We are working hard to get a regular pre-k story time during the school year as well!

Our Children's area is furnished with both tables and chairs, a reading booth, and fun lounging furniture. We also have 2 AWE Learning computers for safe computer play.

In our Children's Area of the library we have - toys to play with during your visit, computers with educational programs,  materials such as books, board books, puppets, busy boxes, and magazines to check out.

If you have programming ideas or things you would like us to do please contact us!!!
